The picture above shows an example of what a dialogue journal between a students and teacher might look like. In the article it mentions that dialogue journals can be used a method to communicate with students. in the example above the teacher is helping the student find how to find topics to write about. in the first example the teacher response back with how doing a list is done. She demonstrates to the student how to do so indirectly. dialogue journals can be a great tool for teachers to take informal assessment of the students writing.
